Job Vacancies: Lead Operator and Operator

We are pleased to announce that we have vacancies in extrusion for the positions of Lead Operator, and Operator. We have listed the details for these positions below.

Roles & Responsibilities - Operator

  • Responsible for setting up machines.
  • Assisting with maintaining quality whilst running jobs.
  • Ensuring the ‘clean as you go’ policy is adopted at all times.
  • Follow all Health & Safety guidelines laid out by the company.
  • Complete all necessary training via company training manuals and the Task Card Matrix.

Roles & Responsibilities - Lead Operator

  • Responsible for setting up machines and optimising the outputs.
  • Assisting with maintaining quality whilst running jobs.
  • Ensuring the 'clean as you go' policy is adopted at all times.
  • Follow all Health & Safety guidelines laid out by the company.
  • Complete all necessary training via company training manuals and the Task Card Matrix.
  • Cover the supervisor’s duties when they are absent.
  • Lead the way on shop floor Hygiene/BRCGS standards.
  • Share responsibility with the supervisor regarding training and standard operating procedures.

Skills & Experience - Operators

  • Previous skills and experience gained within an extrusion facility and/or packaging experience is desirable, but full training will be given to those that don't have any experience.
  • Basic Health & Safety awareness training.

Skills & Experience - Lead Operators

  • Previous experience gained within an extrusion facility and/or packaging experience.
  • Basic Health & Safety awareness training.

Location

These positions are located at our main site at Stopgate Lane, Aintree, Liverpool, Merseyside, L9 6DX.

Working Hours

The hours of work are 42 hours per week, averaged over 8 weeks, working day and night shifts as per the shift pattern ('4-on and 4-off’) between Monday and Sunday. Day shifts are from 8am to 8pm, and night shifts are from 8pm to 8am.

Salary & Prospects

The successful candidates can expect to receive a competitive salary based upon their level of experience.

Lead Operators will receive an enhanced hourly rate to reflect these additional responsibilities.

Operators/Lead Operators can be paid weekly or monthly, depending on their preference. There is an attendance bonus currently in place that is worth up to 8 shifts of pay at the end of the year for 100% attendance.
