Job Vacancies (x4): Shift Manager - Extrusion/Conversion

Role Purpose
- Support the business in achieving operational KPIs and objectives.
- Supervise a team of Operators, ensuring adherence to health and safety, product safety, product quality, and environmental procedures.
- Oversee the production of film products according to customer specifications on production lines.
- Manage team members to meet production output and operational efficiency requirements.
- Provide clear and confident directions to team members.
- Develop individual and team objectives.
- Foster team flexibility across the Extrusion department through the identification of training needs using the shift skills matrix.
- Contribute to health and safety risk assessments and assist in the design and issuance of related Task Cards/SOPs for team members.
- Collaborate with various departments and maintain effective communication.
Key Responsibilities
- Ensure duties are performed in accordance with the Health & Safety at Work Act 1974 and recommend improvements through Health & Safety meetings.
- Input daily production figures.
- Serve as the senior fire marshal for the site.
- Lead the tier 1 Daily Management System
- Authorise shift holidays within company guidelines.
- Report production figures at the tier 2 Daily Management System for the last 24 hours.
- Take responsibility for Return To Work reporting, for both Extrusion and Conversion.

Qualifications, Skills & Experience
The following qualifications, skills and experience are desirable:
- Level 3 NVQ
- Previous experience in team supervision (minimum 2 years).
- IOSH Managing Safely/Working Safely certification.
- Five years of proven experience in shift work within a manufacturing environment.
- Product safety, hygiene, and environmental awareness training.
- FLT License.
Location
This position is located at our main factory site at Stopgate Lane, Aintree, Liverpool, Merseyside, L9 6DX.
Working Hours
- The hours of work are 42 hours per week, averaged over 8 weeks, working day and night shifts as per the shift pattern (2 days, 2 nights, then 4 rest days) between Monday and Sunday.
- Day shifts are from 8am to 8pm, and night shifts are from 8pm to 8am.
Salary & Prospects
- The successful candidate can expect to receive a competitive salary based on their level of experience.
- There is an attendance bonus currently in place that is worth up to 8 shifts of pay at the end of the year for 100% attendance.
- Salaries can be paid weekly or monthly, depending on an employee's preference.

- A paid holiday entitlement of 20 working days, plus 8 public/bank holidays, per year.
- There is a contributory pension scheme which employees are auto enrolled into (subject to the conditions of the scheme).
