Job Vacancy: Conversion Operator

We are pleased to announce that we have a vacancy for the position of Conversion Operator. Full details about this role can be found below.

Roles & Responsibilities

  • Responsible for setting up machines.
  • Maintaining quality whilst running jobs.
  • Ensuring the ‘clean as you go’ policy is adopted at all times.
  • Follow all Health & Safety guidelines laid out by the company.
  • Complete all necessary training via company training manuals and the Task Card Matrix.

Qualifications, Skills & Experience

  • Previous experience gained within an extrusion facility and/or packaging experience.
  • Basic Health & Safety awareness training.


This position is located at our main site at Stopgate Lane, Aintree, Liverpool, Merseyside, L9 6DX.

Working Hours

  • The normal hours of work are 42 hours per week, 8am-5pm from Monday to Thursday, and 8am-4:30pm on Friday, with a 30 minute unpaid break each day.
  • The normal hours are not variable, however, the successful candidate may be required to work additional hours when authorised and as necessitated by the needs of the business.

Salary & Benefits

  • The successful candidate can expect to receive a competitive salary based on their level of experience.
  • Overtime pay will be at a rate of time and a half.
  • Starting annual leave is 20 days plus bank holidays.

Aintree Plastics is a manufacturer with over 25 years experience producing bespoke polythene packaging, extruding film in an extensive range of blends, widths, thicknesses and colours, tailored to meet our individual customers' needs.

We also manufacture a wide range of converted products suitable for many industrial applications. Aintree Plastics supply all market sectors including the printer, converter, distributor alongside direct end users.
