Job Vacancy: Internal Sales Representative

Due to expansion plans, we currently have a vacancy for an Internal Sales Representative to join our team.

About this Role

We are looking for somebody to focus on outbound calls - initially from lists of lapsed customers/prospective users from our database, and later moving on to sourcing leads as the role develops. Some experience of making sales calls would be preferred, and the role will likely develop into managing the new accounts that the candidate brings in.

Responsibilities

  • Contact potential customers to elicit new enquiries.
  • Maximise revenue and profit for new and existing customers.
  • Providing quotations.
  • Recording all enquiries & discussions on the ACT database throughout the sales process.
  • Following up quotations to convert to orders, and understanding as clearly as possible the reasons for a customers’ purchase or non-purchase, and recording this on the ACT database.
  • Keeping in touch with current and previous customers, and checking when another requirement may arise.
  • Handle customer complaints, advise on appropriate solutions, and keep lines of communication open throughout to ensure a speedy resolution.
  • Learning about products and being able to explain to, and discuss these, with customers.
  • Asking questions to understand customer requirements, and closing the sale to result in the placement of an order.
  • Foster strong relationships with both external sales and internal functions to ensure that the customer and company interests are equally served.
  • Work with the manufacturing department and third-party logistics providers to ensure customers’ expectations are met on time, in full.
  • Cover some sales support/administrative duties during busy periods when required.

Location

The role is office based at our main site at Stopgate Lane, Aintree, Liverpool, L9 6DX.

The role is office based but there is some flexibility and occasional home working available by prior arrangement.

Working Hours, Salary & Prospects

The hours of work are Monday to Thursday 8:30am-5:00pm, and 8:30am-4:30pm on Friday.

The successful candidate can expect to receive a competitive salary based on their level of experience, with incentives for hitting activity targets (calls/quotes/lead qualification).

There will be a 12 week probationary period. Incentives/targets will be reviewed at this time.

Starting annual leave is 20 days plus bank holidays.
