Site Expansion and Facility Improvements

Aintree Plastics is delighted to announce that we have completed the extensive expansion of our manufacturing site in Liverpool to improve the facilities, quality of product, and manufacturing efficiency.

We posted a previous update when our building contractors were 'breaking ground' and making a start on the building expansion. The works are now complete and the significant investment in the site has expanded the building to give more room and better facilities for our staff, contractors, and visitors.

New Boardroom, Meeting Rooms and Staff Area

The newly expanded factory features a new boardroom, additional meeting rooms, and a new reception area including a secured controlled entry system. We have also improved the staff break area, changing & sanitary facilities, together with further investment in a Quality Assurance Production Laboratory and Maintenance Workshop.

Quality Assurance Production Laboratory

For many years, Value Engineering and Quality Assurance has been at the heart of what we do, so we are pleased to announce that we have further invested into our Quality Assurance Production Laboratory and Maintenance Workshop. The new equipment we have purchased means we can now provide the following tests on-site:

  • Break Strength
  • Break Elongation
  • Puncture/Falling Dart
  • Yield Strength
  • Tensile Strength

Further equipment is currently on order to further widen our testing criteria, and this includes a Digital Still Camera (DSC) and opacity checks.

Factory Automation

To lighten the load for our shop floor employees, a state-of-the-art automated labour-saving device has been installed. This takes our polymer raw material bags straight off the pallets and opens & empties them, so they can then be loaded into our silos.

Zero Landfill Targets

Aintree Plastics is an environmentally conscious and Carbon Neutral Business, and we are continuing to work towards our zero landfill targets. We he have made further improvements to our waste segregation, all our company cars are now hybrid electric vehicles, and electric vehicle charging points have been installed.

Continuous Improvements

This investment highlights Aintree Plastics' continued focus on improving the working environment for the staff, together with a commitment to continuous improvements to the quality of products supplied to our customers.

“The recently extended facilities at Aintree Plastics have improved our working environment and will equally improve the quality of our customers' experience and product.”
